I am pleased to be able to update you on the AGM and related matters.
I am pleased to present The MAV’s 2016 to 2017 Annual Report. It is great to see so much work going on and I encourage you all to take some time to review The MAV’s successes and progress over the past year.
AGM, includes free access to National Sport Museum
RVSP’s for the AGM are still being accepted and we encourage members to come along.
Attending the AGM provides free access to the amazing National Sport Museum. Arrive at 5.45pm for a presentation on the National Sports Museum and The MAV Made by Maths app, followed by the AGM. Join us for drinks and finger food after the AGM, and take some time to explore the mathematics of the Sports Museum using the Made by Maths app.
There will be an election held at the AGM for the position of MAV President. Council have agreed that if an election was to be held it would take place at the AGM by those present. All individual members and the eligible representative of each institution are eligible to vote either in person, or through a proxy.
If you are in an institution and do not know if you are the person eligible to vote, contact Michael Green (firstname.lastname@example.org) to find out who your school representative is.
Please find attached the Proxy form. This form must be lodged with the MAV Returning Officer, Rob Money. Please send a scanned copy to Robert Money (email@example.com).
You also need to contact your proxy and confirm how you want to allocate your vote. Voting slips will be provided to your proxy at the meeting, and they will sign off that they have voted on your behalf.
Also attached are the biographies of each candidate.
Best wishes, Peter Saffin CEO
